In the direction of “Angra dos Reis” (north coast) there are the beautiful beaches of “São Gonçalo”, “São Gonçalinho” and “Prainha”. Little boats that take tourists to “Ilha Pelada” (“Naked Island”), a place of great beauty and with a famous bar, depart from “São Gonçalo”.

In the direction of ”Ubatuba” it is possible to visit Trindade, Paraty-Mirim with Paraty´s oldest church, to visit a guarani Indians tribe and a beach of very protected waters.

Another option is “Praia do Sono” (“Sleep Beach”), to which you  arrive through a 6-hour trail. This very well preserved beach has a small fishermen´s village, where Paraty´s beach culture can be closely observed.
